While Kathy was a Pekin resident (02 March 1998 - 13 May 2019), she registered for on-site professional training by The Center for Prevention of Abuse in Peoria, Illinois and was certified as a domestic violence victims rights advocate (March 2005) then invited to volunteer at its Pekin, Illinois location.
