The Purge UK: Oh I cringed so very very much

As with most horror franchises it was inevitable that fans would make their own homages/parodies/tributes. This is a fan made film about the Purge, and it's absolutely terrible.

Going in I thought it was going to be played straight, it however very quickly becomes apparent that it's a comedy. British made it suffers many UK cinema tropes and with that parodying the original Purge film made for a dire little short.

Standing at little over 30 minutes we see two roommates trying to survive Purge night which has now come to Europe. They find themselves under attack by the eccentric Percy and his goons.

Full of puerile humor, awful sfx, and a 1% hit rate on it's jokes The Purge UK is the worst short film I've seen in a while.

To be fair Hollywood are struggling to do the concept justice so what chance did two young fans have?

Cringe inducing, unfunny, I truly don't see what they were going for here.

I laughed about twice

The Bad:

Typos in the opening titles

Hideously ugly

Awful sfx

WWE wrestlers entrance music used as sound effect

Just not funny
