Drawn from the Playgirl TV archives, the vignettes comprising "Leather & Lace" offer very little for the fetish or bondage video fan. The usual topics ranging from riding crop action to chains and extreme costuming are filtered through the old Playgirl homogenizing machine to yield the standard Romantic couplings.
The most ambitious segment is "Prisoners of Fantasy", in which Aurora Snow is hidden much of the time inside translucent sheets on a bed, pawed at by various hands as masked fellow surround the bed. This nightmarish groping gives way to James Deen humping her, and since he's my least favorite Porn stud, the scene's effect was ruined for me.
A silly cliché fetish is pursued in Sex Kitten" in which the unfamiliar actress Michelle Avanti (or spelled Avante?) is dressed in black latex including mask and cat's ears, serviced by another unknown player Johnny Cobalt.
Silliest casting is Lexi Belle as a police interrogator grilling Eric Masterson with a sweet little girl voice that just doesn't past muster. It's one of the few Playgirl stagings where the folks talk rather than merely hump in pantomime, but it hardly matters because before you know it they're rutting on the interrogation table in a visually unimpressive (how cheap can a set get?) vignette.
