Much as I detest the genre known as "porn-parody", that is really porn-ripoff, this early riff on the Oscar-winning movie plays quite well with an Afro-centric theme. Video Team was a label specializing in Black actresses on the payroll, and they don't disappoint.
Midori is the star, hardly imitating Annette Bening but simply her sexy self. Her hubby Ian Daniels is a realtor, but Midori wants to go back to work, but first gives Ian some lovin'.
Monique plays Keisha, who has rented her room to some students, played by way overage porn studs. So we get sex with "medical student" Steve Hatcher and "film studies student" Kyle Stone. A white actress, the lovely Envy, is thrown into the mix with interracial sex with black stud Tony Eveready.
Director Jim Malibu usually delivers a poor result, but this low-ambition exercise is entertaining in its own modest way and showcases top Black femme talent of the VHS era, including Dominique Simone.
