Girl-shy botany teacher Charley Chase is sent to the dean's mountain cabin to work on his phobia. Meanwhile a bunch of the girls from the school get stranded nearby and get permission to stay there. Dean's daughter Lupe Velez (in her screen debut, doing a mean Charleston) heads up to save Charley from shock.
Charley pulls his 'fig' in this one, in which he doesn't play the young sophsiticate, but a wallflower, amidst a perfectly timed farce. It's one of the basic situations he would return to later in his career, particularly 1932's GIRL GRIEF. As he would in any remake, he would run through an entirely different -- but equally funny -- set of gags.
The other commenter notes that this movie is in need of preservation. Thanks to the efforts of Richard Roberts and the Sprocket Vault, that has been done.
