A light-hearted comedy of errors involving Carlos Gardel as Alberto Bazán, who enjoys life in NY with women, night-clubs and drinks. When his rich uncle Don Indalecio Bazán (Jaime Devesa), who pays for this high life style believing his nephewhas a prosperous business, arrives in NY he organizes a farce with thecooperation of his fiancée Celia (Spanish dancer and singer Trini Ramos who dances a Spanish typical dance beautifully) -who takes the identity of her secretary- and her secretary Laurita (Blanca Vischer) -who impersonates her fiancée- to avoid his unclecuts off the money supply. This is a fun comedy containing some memorable Gardel songs like beautiful "Golondrinas" and fox-trot "Rubias de Nueva York". Although his voice shines specially in tangos, to hear him singing "Golondrinas" in his inimitable voice is a pure delight. As a curiosity, this is also the first screen appearance of Dan Duryea.
