Commentaire à la une
This film essentially begins with the news that a bandit known only as "El Vengador" (Jennifer Holt) rustling a great number of horses intended for the Union Army during the Civil War. Naturally, recognizing the importance of the horses for the war effort, the commander in charge of the closest cavalry regiment sends an officer by the name of "Lt. Steve Nolan" (Tex Ritter) to apprehend those responsible and reestablish law and order in that particular area. What he doesn't realize, however, is that there is much more to the story than anybody knows--and there are certain people who will do whatever it takes to keep him from discovering the truth. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this was a solid, grade-B Western which was somewhat abbreviated (only 57 minutes) due to the time period in which it was made. As one might expect, Tex Ritter sings a couple of songs, and the overall plot is rather standard for a movie produced during this time as well. It's a typical Tex Ritter Western. In short, although this clearly isn't a top-notch Western by any means, I suppose it managed to pass the time well enough, and I have rated it accordingly. Average.
