Commentaire à la une
Laura (Rocio Durcal) is a pianist and composer who leaves home due to a bad relationship with her husband (Ricardo Tundidor). She then meets Marta (Barbara Rey) , a 'Revista' and television star, with whom she will work to prepare new songs for her show. The reality is that the arguments with her husband are the cause of the victim's search for peace. From the moment Laura moves into Marta's chalet, the neighbors' gossip begins. Thanks to the town idiot (Paco Algora) , Laura finds a rental house, in order to live in peace and quiet, but the town's males appear and things get worse.
Film directed by Enrique Marti Maqueda and starring Rocí Dúrcal and Barbara Rey , who with this film became two erotic myths. It is an uneven and somewhat unpleasant film when some men in the town carry out violent and unpleasant activities. It includes bed scenes between two women, daring for their time and involved in controversy for the protagonists, which influenced their artistic careers. There is a certain influence of the "Home invasion" genre from the early seventies, whose origin was ¨Wes Craven's The Last House on the Left¨and even ¨Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs¨.
The film is mediocre and poorly paced. Cult cinema even in Europe at the time; public success in theaters, has gone unnoticed over time. At times it became somewhat tiring, the performances are stilted and I consider that the theme of lesbianism is only to attract the box office since throughout the story this theme is left aside. There are some sexual scenes and nudity of the actresses but whatever the case, this is a transgressive film and one of the first that dared to touch on lesbianism in Spain. However, the known main actresses disowned the film, they were ashamed of it, and they did not attend the premiere, nor did they publicize it.
Star Rocio Durcal , was the popular teen of the Sixties and Sixties discovered by producer Luis Sanz when participated as a TV singer contest called Primer Aplauso or First Applause. This prodigy adolescent started his films debut : 1962 Cancion de Juventud by Luis Lucía and Rocio dela Mancha, following Deanna Durbin's Hollywood style . Later on , she played in 1965 Mas Bonita que Ninguna , Acompañame, Buenos Días Condesita and Cristina Guzman, all of them shot by Luis Cesar Amadori. As an adult actress she performed the musical Las Leandras by Eugenio Martin and La Novicia Rebelde by Luis Lucía, a peculiar version of La Hermana de San Sulpicio . Moreover , Rocio attempted to change her traditional style with a dramatic role : Marianela 1972 by Angelino Fons , following Diselo con flores 1974 and this erotic film with Barbara Rey titled Me Siento Extraña that was Rocío Dúrcal's last one . Her dramatic films as an adult actress did not have the expected success for Rocío, so she decided to dedicate herself to singing, so she became a famous singer of popular Mexican songs and Rancheras, getting big hits all over the world . While Barbara Rey was an erotic myth in the 70s and 80s, and a famous muse of the ¨Destape¨. Beginning as Miss Madrid 1970, she represented Spain at the 21st annual Miss World pageant, held on November 10, 1971 at the Royal Albert Hall, London, United Kingdom obtaining a position as Semi-finalist and worked in a circus with her ex-husband Angel Cristo , she had a long cinematic career that includes several B films, such as: La noche de las brujas, El periscopio, Las garras de Lorelei , El Buque Maldito, Las delicias de los verdes años, La muerte ronda a Mónica, Paris bien vale una moza, among others. ¨Me siento Extraña : I feel strange (1977)¨ was mediocrely directed by a usual television director, Enrique Marti Maqueda, in his only failed feature film. Rating: 4,5/10.
