- AnecdotesThe apartment complex used in the opening of the series was of the Park La Brea Apartments located in Los Angeles. The complex resembles in no way any apartment you would find along Queens Blvd. in Queens, New York.

Of course I'm coming at this show 40+ years later, and I wasn't even born when it originally aired on ABC in 1979. Most of the episodes of the show are apparently lost, only 4 are currently known to survive. I've watched one and a half of the surviving episodes and I have a pretty good idea of what it's like.
What is it like? Cute. Harmless. Reasonably funny. The main actors are all terrific, and have had long, successful careers, so the failure of this show probably wasn't that big of a deal to them. The show reminds me of a kind of proto-Golden Girls, and protagonist Felicia's kitchen even looks like the kitchen in Golden Girls. Coincidence? I don't know.
What's it about? A bunch of women live in an apartment complex and are friends. The theme song tells us repeatedly that we all need friends, everybody needs friends. The theme song is actually better than it would have to be.
I'm hoping the rest of the series does pop up at some point, just because I hate when media gets lost in this day and age. It's 1979! (Sorry, inside joke for those who watched the show)
