Greetings friends! This was a fun film to work on. Johnny was a hoot and a very open and approachable person. Some inside stuff, if you like: The producers ran out of money about two weeks before the film was wrapped and had to go to Korea to get some more backing. Fortunately they got it and you now can see their efforts paid off.
However, the paychecks were a little late in coming and the cast and crew laughingly called the film: "They Still OWE me Bruce". It actually took another two years to get our final checks, but get them...and cash them...we did. Got me my first Rolex! It ran all over cable in the late '80s and early '90s. It's audience was mostly youngsters, but plenty of adults have enjoyed groaning at the puns over the years, too.
I figure the offspring of those early viewers will be getting to the age where they can enjoy this flick and it might become a re-born cult phenomenon.
By the way, the acupuncture scene was done with a huge "belly" prosthesis. Looks amazingly real, doesn't it?
I met a woman from Korea the other day and told her I was in it and she said she knew I looked familiar and that it's a famous movie there! Hey, I'm a star in Soeul! Hope you enjoy it!
