Life in the Dark

Two sisters live in some remote place. One is physically deformed and a writer. They live a stark life in relative darkness. One day, a man swims to shore. He is enamored with the sister's writing and is willing to overlook her appearance and show kindness toward her. Of course, in classic style, there is really no possibility of a future off the island, nor is there one proposed. This is unique animation that is hard at times hard to watch.
