A bomb ,and that's exactly what you get ;the story is so absurd ,so stupid,that even the actors (Jean Tissier ,Ginette Leclerc ) cannot save it;the young Georges Poujouly, masterfully directed by René Clément in "jeux interdits" (forbidden games ,1952) ,here hams it up all along the way and is almost unbearable. Besides a quarter of the movie is given over to "strappy piano",French colloquial expression for accordion , that is to say ,if you like popular dance to the accordion , ok , if you don't ,pass this up .
