Based on a play , it's obvious ; the actors play as if they were on stage and it looks like there's no director at all .
Plot : Sylvette is married to Leonard ,a man who could be her dad and who's a painter always in search of inspiration and naked female models.During the war , the wife met three lieutenants , and she promised one of them to become his lover after the war ,on Midsummer's day.The day has come ,and three ex-officers go to her house ,claiming their due.The three of them have a beard now,and Sylvette has trouble knowing the right one.Her friend Irène ,who has just arrived , will help her with her problem.
The story is predictable , the situations are repetitive and the lines devoid of humor ;even such seasoned thespians such as Jean Tissier, Paulette Dubost and Pauline Carton can't save such a poor script.
