This all-girl porn video makes fun of the title of the wonderful Bruce Robinson mainstream sleeper film, but is merely a chance to see Serenity winningly debut and join many gal pals in the pointless art of name-dropping.
Hardly up to the usually high standards of director Jim Enright and screenwriter Raven Touchstone, it concerns a group of fan girls who visit an empty porn studio, to plan the formation of a fan club for their favorite consensus porn actress. Many names are dropped, like Ashlyn Gere and Jeanna Fine, and a few reels later Jeanna Fine shows up, not a cameo playing her name-dropped self but instead a character named Diane who is part of the fan-girl group.
In her movie debut, Serenity is lovely and innocent looking in the role of Jennifer, the most enthusiastic of the fan-girls. She uses a ouija board to try and contact the spirit of Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield for inspiration, and the board supposedly puts her in contact with Sigmund Freud instead.
Not very funny, this nonsense kills time while the cast has many a lesbian sex scene together, dressing up in studio costumes they find and using props, especially dildos. It presents an oddball type of lesbian sex, the sort of thing that caused the latterday creation of "realistic lesbian sex" labels like Girlfriends and Sweetheart in reaction several years later.
