I enjoyed watching "Dom wariatow" (Madhouse) and found it quite funny. The plot is about Adas Miauczynski (Marek Kondrat), who is approaching thirty. For the first time, after a long absence, he returns home. Already the first scene is unusual, because the entrance door is barricaded, and opening it takes an alarmingly long time. Then we find out more about Adas Miauczynski and his family. All characters are very eccentric, and their lives seem to consist mainly of repeating some strange rituals. Their emotions cannot be taken seriously too. "Madhouse" may not be for all tastes, but I found many scenes funny and memorable. The film can be interpreted as you want, but it definitely tells us something about our lives. You can also watch excellent performances of many famous actors of that time, like young Marek Kondrat, Tadeusz Lomnicki and Anna Nehrebecka. In my opinion, "Madhouse" has some qualities that prevent that film from becoming dated.
