Besides starring in many classic Adult Films dating back to the '70s, John Leslie later directed several wonderful features, notably "Dog Walker" and "The Tease". He also enjoyed making wall-to-wall sex videos like his long-running "Voyeur" series", and "Drop Sex" falls into that lesser category.

Basically Leslie would become excited about a particular actress and feature her in scenes as sensual and erotic as he could muster, with both characterization and even nominal story jettisoned. Examples are his arousing tributes to Veronica de Souza and Naomi Russell. In "Drop Sex" it's Jennifer Cartier, a Euro starlet who I had previously seen in a Marc Dorcel video starring the great Laure Sainclair.

The main male character is played by Valentino as The Prisoner, a mysterious figure who keeps popping up, helping to tie together the disparate sex vignettes. A large cast is employed to provide gang-bangs, interracial sex and all manner of erotic delights, though unfortunately pointless. I wish that John had made the effort to script this nonsense and come up with an engrossing narrative as he did so successfully in "Dog Walker".

There are many in-jokes along the way, including use as a catch phrase of "Yes, we have no bananas", that novelty song that Merv Griffin of all people scored a hit with many, many decades back. The varied cast list includes several fine performers (attesting to Leslie's good taste) including Lauren Montgomery (of the great "Naked Hollywood" series), though the biggest names tend to be the studs, like Jake Steed, Michael J. Cox, Sean Michaels, old pal Joey Silvera, Vince Vouyer and Mr. Marcus.
