Now you could imagine many Scottish actors playing Robbie Burns but definitely not Terance Alexander.Mind you this is more a drama documentary than a straightforward biopic. There is a lot of music interspersed with the many scenic views of his native area throughout the film. The interiors were made in that very Scottish area called Maida Vale. There are a number of actors who speak the narration which runs through the film.I think that it is one of the Scottish actors reading Burns poems rather than Alexander attempting a Scottish accent.I am not sure what Burns lovers will make of this.I think that they might burst a blood vessel. It is the sort of cheap support films turned out aplenty in that era.
