Vammena kokkina mallia

Based on the book of "Vammena Kokkina Mallia" by Mourcelas, Koutsomitis has made a real masterpiece. Great acting, excellent script and music travel us to a journey back to 60s-70s that took place at Piraeus.

Poverty, unemployment, political instability, lack of freedom and democracy surround, affect and finally dictate the life of almost everyone, at least our characters.

Konstantis Manolopoulos (Mourcelas himself as I see it..) remembers the days back to his child neighborhood. His cousin and closest friend Manolis (Louis) Retsinas, the heart of his story, leads the way till the end.

Louis Retsinas, a man with free mind, a real philosopher of life, a true and loving heart, a living man for real, is just an amazing character!!

"Louis is like the sea… most of the times calm, but never steady..." as Argiris says. "Two lives are not enough to live this life… God gave so much of them…" (Retsinas)

TV series that show the real life, the real stuff, along with unbelievable funny situations and very deep conversations. Fun, love, friendship, lies and truths are all parts of this great story.

I give a 10/10 to the script, 10/10 for Giorgos Ninios (Retsinas), 10/10 for Karampeti (Martha), 10/10 for Arzoglou (Konstantis), 10/10 for the music theme and 8/10 for directing.
