Esclava del deseo

This sleazy Mexican flick doesnt have much new to offer. You can tell it was made cheaply, not only because of its technical flaws but because it takes place on very few locations, with very few characters and not much happens in it.

Fortunately, its not a boring entry in the tropical crime subgenre. Its paced and directed rather nicely, competently at least, and features enough action and romance to keep your attention. Sure, its inept at points, the characters are mostly generic and the twists and turns the story takes feel incredibly contrived and absurd but it works as a cheesy crime drama from its era.
