Commentaire à la une
According to this entertaining, but somewhat idiosyncratic, bio-documentary, the often-demanding and oddly-eccentric Howard Hughes not only had millions of dollars at his immediate disposal - But he also had about that many babes (millions), as well, at his beck and call throughout his turbulently enterprising lifetime.
Of course, one will never, ever know the exact facts and figures concerning Hughes' (apparently) countless sexual escapades since, in the course of his lifetime, he was already considered being something of an enigma and legend to begin with.
And, to be sure, when one reaches such a point of celebrity status as early on in their life as Hughes most surely did, stories of one's conquests (be they sexual, or otherwise) are bound to be blown right out of proportion in order to satisfy the ever-curious public as the legend (like Howard Hughes) is inevitably being created and marketed for a tabloid mentality.
Anyway - Not wanting to give away too much of the content of this reasonably interesting documentary - I will end things here by commenting that at the time of his death in 1976 (due to kidney failure), Howard Hughes' estate was estimated at being worth approximately $1.5 billion (which is the equivalent today of being about $6.2 billion).
