Suan Jan Story

Kevin McCarey's San Juan Story is not only a great short film, but a great film period. It's a simple tale told with elegance and affection.

McCarey is a natural storyteller and makes excellent use of Puerto Rico's luminous beauty to serve as the backdrop for his lighthearted narrative. You can practically taste the ocean air as Victor Torres navigates his way through the streets of San Juan on his quest to regain his sense of smell.

With brisk pacing, lovely camera-work and sharp acting, San Juan Story is a perfect movie for students and professionals alike to use as a model for effective short film-making.
