This is my first review but after finishing this film, I needed to write it just to get stuff off my chest . I love a good sci-fi so was looking forward to this. The idea is interesting but began with possibly the worst acting I've come across. Alastair G. Cumming's portrayal of a Dr doing some radical new research was, frankly, nothing short of laughable. Think mad scientist from the worst B movie. With a voice and physicality that did nothing but bring you away from the storyline, not into it, and make you wonder what the hell you'd got yourself into, I seriously considered giving up straight away.
The main character played by Eugene Simon, a Game of thrones actor, carried this film but still I think did himself no career favours by playing in it. All I can say is that had he not been cast, I would have turned off immediately. I'm not going to get into the plot which has so many loose threads you could embroider a new story, but suffice it to say, the denouement was rushed, confused and did not answer many outstanding questions and plot holes. As I say it was an interesting premise but with a script that probably gave the actors little to work with and consequently made them look worse, said acting and the major flaws in the plot, I can't in good conscience give this more than 3 stars. what could have been a great film was not even mediocre.
