I had to see this movie as two parts separately since I couldn't stand the first half and decided to leave the movie halfway. Then later on a Friday evening, when I had nothing else to do, I decided to try the second half of the movie. But I liked the second half.
The movie is of a very simple thread with very light comedy and family drama.
Mamooty and Biju Menon handled their roles brilliantly. Biju Menon's role was very similar to that in Pattalam. Even though in small roles, Vijayaraghavan, Sayikumar and Baburaj also did a decent job. I did not understand the reason to bring Richa Pallod all the way for this movie. She could not deliver much, may be because it was not a kind of a character that she is familiar with. There was nothing wrong to say about Radhika's and Lena's acting and Radhika looked exceptionally beautiful. Daniel Balaji is always good with psychic roles.
I remember there was some news about cricketer Sreesanth acting the role that is done currently by Govind Padmasoorya in this movie. It could have been a good entry for Sree to Mollywood since it was a good role. Anyway Padmasoorya also did not disappoint. I still remember seeing him in a Malayalam album song in which he, as an auto driver, had to run around a police lady through out. Hope he gets better role than that in future.
The biggest flaw of this movie was the selection of the child actor, who did the role of Mamootty's son. Poor kid was struggling to act. He had mouthfull of dialogues and he was literally struggling with them through out. Except for one scene when Mamooty had to kill somebody due to a misunderstanding of the kid and the sequence after that, the kid completely failed to act. Only in that sequence the kid could perform impressing.
At the end of the movie there was a song with a group dance of many of the actors, I have seen such stuff very frequently in bollywood movies. I am happy to see that somebody tried that in malayalam also and I liked it.
I have to explicitly mention about the stunt scenes. They amazed me. Brilliantly executed.
So at the end, I would like to give a 6/10 for this movie, especially because of a nice second half and a good action scene. So if you are trying to watch this movie, don't try to quit halfway, second half is comparatively better and is worth to watch.
