Ryômaden

Before reading any review make sure you don't check who is Sakamoto Ryoma and Iwasaki Yataro unless you know them already. It might spoil everything and make the show less enjoyable.

The TV drama is based on Sakamoto Ryoma who wanted to change something very important. During his journey he meets many interesting people who help him to achieve his goals. Despite being a show focusing on Sakamoto Ryoma's life they also focus on Iwasaki Yataro and many other people which played a big role in the Japanese history during 19th century. I loved everything about this show except one episode which in my opinion wasn't handled right and can make the viewers very curious or disappointed if they don't know about Japan during 19th century. In order to avoid spoilers i won't share more and i advice you not to search for additional info before you watch the show unless you know everything already.

I have seen many historical dramas and in my opinion Ryomaden is one of the best. A masterpiece !
