When a horror movie keeps you up at night, it's usually because they did a great job. This movie kept me awake because I was angry. This movie annoyed me so much that it inspired me to write my first review.
First of all, I'm not going to blame the actors. They should have never agreed to make this movie, and their agents probably aren't the brightest, but I don't think any amount of good acting could have made this movie any less terrible. Everything about this script should have landed it in the garbage.
The plot is seemingly interesting. The premise of the movie is somewhat attractive. The first few scenes made me want to give it a chance. About 1/3 of the way through the movie, I was faced with a decision. I knew finishing this movie was going to be a grotesque waste of time, but part of me wanted to see just how bad it could get. It got inexplicably worse.
My theory about how this got released (or even made it to post production) is that whoever wrote the script is the child of a major Hollywood player. It's like some A-lister's 15 yr old child was given all the resources to make a movie. The plot twists will make you cringe harder than ever before. This script would have gotten a failing grade in a high-school level writing class.
In closing, I think interrogation experts should put this movie in their torture arsenal. 24 hours of this movie would be far more effective than waterboarding.
