ForePlay: The Short

A flawed, nicely edited short film called "ForePlay:The Short just pulled the wool over my eyes after seeing it. The title automatically draws you into thinking that you might just see something different but you really don't. And I mean that in a good way. It's really not a movie, but a moment of teasing that is created by the director. The performance by Kevin J. Ryan and Roxanne Dover are rich with looks that generate thought but at times for me a little over the top. Considered to be Smith's first film I would say that he has a bright future, but I would be curious to see how this would play out in a longer running time. That's the upside of this film. It's not trying to be movie but a musical message. It definitely communicates on a level that all can understand. The music is the real winner though. It's the one thing that truly kept me captivated to the screen. - Wildsound Film and Feedback festival 10/10/10
