OK let me begin by stating that I'm reviewing this movie in comparison to other independent micro-budget movies, and not movies in a different league with seemingly endless Hollywood budgets and and a 400+ workforce. You get nasty gore, babes (Emily Booth mmmmmm), and 1hr 50 mins that doesn't drag. It's entertainment!
This anthology movie throws different filmmakers into the collective mix and what you witness on the screen varies in cinematic style and quality. As I said, all competent, yet some segments seem to shine slightly brighter than the rest, like 'Snow' which is brutal yet photographed beautifully, and the obvious care and the love for the genre in this one is palpable.
Without spoiling anything plot-wise (yes, there is one, actually, a few) I'll just state that if you like films like V/H/S and The A, B, C's Of Death you'll find enjoyment in Blaze Of Gory.
