The male and female leads were originally cast for other actors, but Samuel Victor and Jennie Shotton stepped in at the last minute, when the original actors dropped out due to scheduling contracts.

As a note to several continuity errors caused by both limitations when filming (such as mixing of night and day schedules to suit actors) and sections of scenes cut for pacing, the rear crawl credits name two perpetrators: Hugh Musby, Joe King. ("You must be joking")
