Originally shot when the main actor had Covid, and couldn't go out to shoot original footage of Lawson (the other character in the film), footage from Ed Vela's old web series: Dad vs. Lad was re-purposed and fit so well he asked the young man (now in college) if he'd like to be in one more film as a kid actor and he said: YES.
