Just coming out of cinema hall my parents (at their 60's) said the movie was good.
My kids fall in love with the "Chaiti Baa" song and all the comic scenes.
Several scenes were of explicit behavoiur that could be kept in montage. Despite the team could show more of the rural life there in Koraput.
My generation now a days are not dumb audience, even they are rewatching marvel movies for fun can not condone a odia movie that sounds illogical.
I'll definitely says the movie, upto some extent has uniqueness in it's story. Besides it seems that they can't afford to go against general rule of 80's bollywood. Villians, indecent assault against female; I cound't explain to my 7 year kid what is happening to that scenes, that he himself thought was a bad behaviour.
Director must have taken all the strains to make this movie perfect on a crime on superstition plot . Everyone acted so well, their accent, costumes and the locations fills life to the story.
Delighted to watch glimpse of "Bamboo Queen Show" and the Dhemsa dance. But definitely I'll be more pleased if presented with the original version of "Dhemsa Maar" song and the "Jalwa" song with the Baunsa Rani.
Anyway, I was really enjoyed watching this movie. Also cudos to the Producer and all the crew for giving Odia people definitely a better movie.
