I have to admit when we saw the poster of A Young Time Ago, we didn't feel it was going to be interesting but we have to give it up to Tolu LordTanner the director, once again he produced a genuine project after 'The Wait'😃
DELICIOUS
-There was an effortless chemistry on set! We love the pleasantries exchanged between the friends on campus
-You could tell the scenario was carefully designed with inspiring dialogues and a play on the characters' names, e.g. Magic, Gabriel
-Loved that the psychology of the characters was considered: Tayo was a sensitive and shy guy and we saw that reflected throughout the story
-Tolu Osaile & Mofeyintola Jebutu had a sincere interaction 👏🏽
-The simple set and costume designs of the school scenes made the story look natural emphasizing that we were just dealing with ordinary university students going about their ordinary lives
BLAND
-Overall, the film was a casual story. It began with Daniel Effiong telling us about his past and how he eventually proved his love.
Nothing too extraordinary as these are stories we've seen many times before
-Some moments felt a bit unrealistic, e.g. A doctor is able to operate on a girl from a normal bedroom setting; how did Tayo suddenly perform well as a restaurant manager after many years of hiatus🤔
