The Beast in Me

I started watching the series without any expectations, and only because the storyline is one of my favorites: psychological and criminal. The series is magnificent from every angle, the best I've seen this year, and let me tell you, I watch a lot!

I don't know the two main actors, with the roles of Angie and Nile in the series, but I never compare it to other shows because each actor wears a different wig in every role they play, that's why they are called actors.

All the actors are simply magnificent and the tension grows as the series progresses; I didn't find it predictable at all, on the contrary, there is a lot of edge of your sofa situations and unexpected twists.

If you like crime thrillers then this one won't dissapoint you.

It is an artistic thriller!

Creepy, tense, unsettling, and just a great psychological masterpiece.

Claire Danes has mastered the neurotic and constantly panicked act, we saw it for 8 seasons in Homeland so nothing new there. Her male lead did good, but Brittany Snow does not live up acting wise. It's a suspenseful thriller which reminds me a bit of "The Jinx" documentary, which made an otherwise absurd story somewhat more believable. Not bad, not great, which is honestly more than you can expect from a Netflix production.

But I don't think Claire Danes is right for this role... She plays her character exactly like she did in Homeland. A lot of breathing and panting and exaggerated figure. She obviously had a diagnosis in Homeland, but in this role she should have calmed down a bit.

It will be exciting to see the continuation.

I enjoyed this but Clare Danes character sounded like she was mid panic attack throughout every episode, which kind of spoilt things a bit. It was very offputting in my opinion. Matthew Rhys's character was suitably creepy.....the chicken scene in particular. Well filmed, well acted overall, I quite enjoyed it.

I am not annoyed by Claire Danes but to be honest I haven't seen Homeland. I think she acts really good here. But I also thought Joaquin Phoenix was a good actor but then I saw Napoleon and saw joker playing him. So I understand the sentiments. In my opinion this show is good and within recent poor productions across all platforms really outstanding, like to drink water in the desert. The acting is really great, story is solid, the length is just accurate. I liked Claire's character's anxiety. The characters behave in a rational way within circumstances, which I am sensitive about after seeing movies and show where the characters behave like idiots sometimes. Definitely recommend.
