From the lennox brothers. An adventure in amsterdam. In the united states, it's called stoner express. In europe, it's "amstardam". Jack has never known who his father is. On his 21st birthday, he finds things out. Off to amsterdam, where he meets the beautiful desiree. (eline powell is or was dating lee lennox, one of the directors.) unfortunately, desiree is the neice of eddie. Who happens to be... his father's biggest competitor. The first half of this is just magical and fun. About halfway through, it becomes much more ordinary. And comes down to a contest between the two businessman. Will he win over desiree? The contest is similar to revenge of the nerds between the lamdas and the alphas, or whatever they were. The film is a lot of fun. I'm guessing the low rating on imdb is due to the subject matter; it does take place in amsterdam where drug use is much more prevalent. Fun appearance by howard marks, also known as mister nice. He was a drug smuggler for many years, who worked with gangs of many countries to bring drugs into the united states and europe. Unfortunately, he died april of 2016, before this film was released. Mark's smuggling years were mainly in the 1970s and 1980s, before most of the viewers here were even born. For this reason, i fear the younger viewers weren't able to see the humor of howard marks' role. Some quirky characters, in wacky situations. It's actually rather fun, but loses some momentum near the end. Also some bathroom humor (literally) probably turned some people off. Stick around for outtakes during the closing credits.
