British independent watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin was asked to be a consultant for the scenes where Pierce Brosnan is at a workbench. Upon meeting, Brosnan was so impressed by Speake-Marin that he purchased one of his watches; subsequently, Speake-Marin asked Brosnan to become a brand ambassador, to which he agreed. Brosnan is possibly the most high-profile celebrity to become an ambassador for any independent watchmaker. Prior to his official role as ambassador, Brosnan can be seen wearing a Speake-Marin "Piccadilly" wristwatch during filming, in candid photographs, post-production, and a pink gold model during his Super Bowl XLIX (2015) commercial for Kia. In the movie, the store, located at 29 Bruton Street, is named "PSM Bespoke Watchmakers"; "PSM" is an abbreviation commonly used by Peter Speake-Marin. In 2017, he left the company to focus on an educational enterprise.

After the restaurant explosion, the men in charge of the investigation comment that they wouldn't be able to find any information from the security cameras as they were fried by the explosion. Anyone with minimal knowledge of how security camera works knows that there is no information to extract from the camera itself, since the footage is stored on a server's hard drive in a secure location. It seems the writers of this movie are technologically inept.

In the three-dimensional animated end credits, images form by flurries of random letters in the background, e.g. of Milla Jovovich's face, the Capitol and the US Foreign Service logo.
