Commentaire à la une
Right, well initially I was expecting "KM17" to be a movie from Maverick Entertainment, when I sat down to watch it. The movie's cover and poster just had that particular vibe to it. But thankfully "KN17" was not a movie from Maverick Entertainment.
Sure, I was not sure what I was in for here when I sat down to watch the movie. So I suppose, in a sense, writers Oluchi Afurobi and Julie Ako had every opportunity to entertain me with the script they conjured up for director Lyndsey F. Efejuku to bring to the screen.
The storyline in the movie is slow paced, so very, very slow paced. The movie didn't exactly have a particularly thrilling storyline. Most of the movie takes place inside a cab with nothing more than dialogue between one of two women and the male cab driver. So writers Oluchi Afurobi and Julie Ako didn't exactly bedazzle me with the script.
Given my nearly non-existing experience with the Nigerian cinema, of course I as not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. The acting performances, despite having a ludicrously bad script to work with, were actually fair enough.
My rating of "KM17" lands on a very generous two out of ten stars. The movie was simply too slow paced, uneventful and devoid of anything interesting in the storyline.
