The film is from a real-life experience of the film's writer during a visit to nursing during his first year of ministry in 1990. Immediately after the visit, he returned to his office to record his experience and overwhelming feelings. His thoughts were recorded in a book he wrote several years later, "Seasons Under the Son" under the title "Love in the Nursing Home."
