[on what the future holds; 2002] The easiest way to say it is that before
Newsies (1992), I wanted to do musical theater.
Newsies (1992) happened, the Pepsi commercial happened, the
Michael Jackson video happened, and someone said, "Well what are you gonna do now? Are you going to be a professional dancer?" And I didn't have the background to really do that, I was just riding the wave. And I've been riding the wave for a while. I got into hosting and what I've realized is the current wave I'm on has pretty much closed - it's white wash and heading towards the shore. And now I'm turned around looking back out and I see the next set coming and there's three or four different waves, and it's my choice where I want to go next. It's my choice which to take, of all of them, and I'm very fortunate. Sitting in a nice four to six, with a nice left, and a good break, tubes are there. I'm not sitting in a one to two white washed crap where everybody's walling out. It's good. The surf is good, I just have to chose the wave. And that decision is still forth coming.
