She acted in Jean Anouilh's play, "Point of Departure," at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith, London, England in 1950 and at the Duke of York's Theatre in London, England in 1951 with Mai Zetterling, Dirk Bogarde, Stephen Murray, Hugh Griffith, John Moffatt, Brenda De Banzie, George Hayes, and Eric Pohlmann in the cast.
He played the part of the Anglican Bishop in John Ford's The Quiet Man (1952). He got
his nickname, 'Bish', filming this movie. When he came off the set
during one scene, some nuns thought he was a real Bishop and they
wanted to kiss his ring.
