The daughter of
Joan Davis and
Si Wills, Beverly Wills had two children: Guy Steven Grossman (born December 17, 1955) and Laurance S. Grossman (born September 8, 1959). Wills, her sons, and her grandmother, Nina Davis, all perished on October 24, 1963 in their home at 1983 Yucca Place, Palm Springs, California. The fire, apparently sparked after Wills fell asleep while smoking, destroyed the home's master bedroom (where the 4 victims were found), with the rest of the 1958 structure sustaining smoke damage. The Palm Springs home of Wills' late mother, comedienne Joan Davis, also still exists at 1400 E. Tamarisk Road.
