She was chosen to sing the roles of Violetta and Mimi in conductor Arturo Toscanini's radio broadcast performances of "La Traviata" and "La Boheme", respectively. Both were broadcast on NBC radio in 1946. They were eventually released on 45-RPM records and 33 1/3 RPM LPs, as well as on CD. The "Boheme" broadcast commmemorated the 50th anniversary of the opera's world premiere in Italy, a performance which Toscanini also conducted.
