Moved to Brea, California from Dominican Republic at the age of 9. Him and his brother (the youngest would come later) learned english by watching old football tapes of the 1970's Pittsburg Steelers. That made them fall in love with the sport, especially his brother Alex who eventually made it to the NFL.
