He has one older half brother and two younger half brothers. His
biological father the late Cathal Goulding married Patty Germaine in
1950 and they had a son, Cathal Og. Cathal separated from his wife. He
had Paudge, with Beatrice Behan, widow of Brendan Behan. Later they
broke up and in 1971 his dad Cathal began living with Dr. Moira Woods
who had 6 children of her own .They subsequently had two sons, Aodhgan
and Banban.
