When her husband Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle was on trial for the
murder of Virginia Rappe , she appeared on his behalf and was
pelted with rocks by the crowd gathered outside the courthouse. Though they had been separated since 1917 she defended Roscoe to the end of her life.
