One of her favorite stage roles was as Velma Kelly in the musical Chicago in a reprisal showcase at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. While Brette loved the part of Velma, she still knows Roxie by heart, having devoured Vicki Lewis' portrayal from the wings at the Cincinnati Playhouse while her beautiful mom, actor Christine Parks, played the role of Matron Mama Morton.
