Blonde Mexican-born French actress and singer, equally at home in both Spanish and French-speaking films. She was born Marchand, but gave herself the stage name of Goya, as a tribute to her favorite painter. During the 1930's, she had a brief tenure in English films with British International and, less successfully, in Hollywood.
