She acted in Ronald Harwood's play, "A Family," in a Royal Exchange production at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, England with Paul Scofield, Harry Andrews, Eleanor Bron, Trevor Peacock, Irene Handl, and Gary Waldhorn in the cast. Caspar Wrede was director.
The step-daughter of a German industrialist, she grew up in Switzerland, Germany and Holland. She was fluent in German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
