She was very close friends with Robert Reed. She was the one who informed
his daughter of his homosexuality and his illness. She also got his
medication for him under his pseudonym.
On why she started an acting career so late in life: "My husband died,
my daughter went to college, the dog got fleas, and the maid quit, so I
had to come to Hollywood."
