In the 90s, Olsen worked as a self-taught graphic designer creating CD covers for German music stars including Udo Lindenberg, Phillip Boa, Selig, Echt, Palast Orchester (Max Raabe's band), Stefan Gwildis, and Annett Louisan. Olsen received gold and platinum awards for some of these cover design works.
