Having worked four years at the Rozovsky's theater, Ekaterina went to play Katya Tatarinova on musical "Nord-Ost". In the spring of 2002, Guseva sang at a temperature of -40 °C, this fact was recorded in the Russian Book of Records. On October 23, 2002, she had a day off at the "Nord-Ost" when the terrorist attacks near the Theater Center on Dubrovka started which lasted for three days. 130 people were dead and over 700 were injured in attacks. In February 2003, she returned on the stage again to reprise her role in the restored version of the play.
