Amy Carlson, artist, wife, builder, mother, student, designer, sister, advocate, daughter, teacher, dancer, friend, and woman lives in the ability margin. Parkinson's Disease is a chaos in her life that interrupted a career in Construction Program Management, disrupted her lifestyle, and changed her view of the world forever. At age 54, 10 years post dx, Amy challenges others to meet living with a neurological diagnosis with power, grace, and acceptance. Her work in the arts is dedicated to expressing her experience of life.
Recently that art has included writing and performing in the autobiographical theatrical production And She Danced as well as appearing in the documentary short Wired Differently which was nominated for best short documentary at the Pasadena International Film Festival 2022.
